Hello world!

Love. Amour. Delight.
Here at B.Fitz we are starting early for Valentines Day- we don’t want to get left behind in the craziness of holidays past. This past weekend I spent a few days with a family that I am in love with- I have never met such as respectful and full of honor kind of family like this one, so when they agreed to do some family photos and then some fun extra valentine photos I was excited, to say the least. Here are some of their awesome photos.
Happy New Year!!!
I am happy to report that our New Year started out with a bang. In fact, it really had- my website failed not allowing me to post any new photos and then my camera broke. Thankfully, having friends in good places comes in handy- in less than 24 hours they had both the camera and my website fixed and thanks to them I am back in business.
I do want to say THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to everyone who has sent a prayer out for my family- my husband joined the Navy and will be graduating in just a few weeks (4 to be exact!).
Lets start the year off right- get yourself a new set of photographs of you and your family, your loved ones, or just some of yourself. If you book (for anytime) by the end of January I will through in a free Copyright/Print Release (a $25 saving). As for now our prices are the same, however they are subject to change at any time.
Happy New Year!
Holiday Special!
Howdy folks- if you have been following me on facebook you’ll have noticed that I have recently done a Holiday Special. My holiday special was kind of a marathon of shooting and editing so my clients could get their photos on the same day. This was the first one of it’s kind that I have done and I must say- WOW! I loved every moment of it- I did not feel rushed at all and I was so pleased to get the photos done in such a timely manner. The special, for $30, included 15-30 minutes of photo taking, 10-25 professionally edited photos, and as a thank you a letter of limited copyright release (allowing my clients to print whenever and where ever). Please enjoy some of my shots- as I know my clients have enjoyed them as well!
New Posts
Coming soon!!!! At least that is the plan- it has been quiet some time since I have posted anything, but now my site is running smoothly again. In the next few days I should be able to post new photos of sessions that have occurred in the recent months. Thanks for your patience!

Hi Everyone- I am experiencing some technical difficulty and have not been able to post some awesome shoots I have recently done. However, you can check out my facebook page for the latest and greatest of my shoots.
Thanks for all the support!
Professional Photo Bombers?
This family, the S family, is a group of incredible people. Not only are the strong individually, but as a family they are closely knit. I had the honor of taking their most recent family photo… their previous recent included the youngest before he hit double digits (so it had been a long while), and boy have the kids grown up! Check out their session- you might even notice that the everyone is a pro at photo bombing!
Finally, Family of 4!
Well folks, after nearly 7 months my close family friends decided to have a photo session that included their newest family member- Mr. M (you might have seen his Mommy’s baby bump session or Newborn session here on my website). We ventured through the beautiful UCR Botanical Gardens to grab some fun shots that reflected them as a family unit. I always enjoy shooting with them because there is bound to be some great laughs!!!

Tip of the week!!!! Yes! Boy and Girls… or should I say Girls and Boys! The tip of this week is a fun one… Theatrics! Thats right, you heard it here first- theatrical. What seems goofy and feels awkward usually produces a very nice looking photo. Yes, I did say usually because sometimes if we get over zealous it just looks exactly as we feel- which can also produce a comic relief, but that is not the tip this week!
Photographers: Don’t be afraid to tell clients that they’ll feel goofy or even to position your clients as needed if they just don’t have that theatrical flair.
Non-Photogs: Expand your horizon, be open to taking these so called ‘goofy’ photos- like I said they produce beautiful photos!
Tip of the Week

Yay! For learning new things! Okay, so this weekend I had an engagement shoot in beautiful San Diego – I just wanted to share that, it really does not have anything to do with the tip, I so want to live there in Point Loma! Any who, this weeks tip is on ISO. As many of you know I am a self taught photographer, I simply have learned many lessons (some the hard way) on how to use my camera. I’ve always had an eye for certain things, but my actual camera- techy things, nah, no good at it… that was at least until I tried and realized that manually taking charge of your camera is NOT as hard as it seems! And let me tell you right now, it does not happen over night- it takes lots of practice and time for this information to sink into our squishy brains, so don’t get upset (another lesson learned) at yourself for not understanding it the first time around.
Back to ISO- ISO is the way your camera sensors its sensitivity to light. The higher the ISO number is the MORE light that your camera is allowing into the photo. For example- if I were to take some photos of my son outside on a sunny day, I would set my ISO to 100-200, if the day was overcast and cloudy I would set the ISO to 300-400 (ish- depending on how dense the overcast is will depend on where you set the ISO), and if I were indoors in not so great light (you know how it gets- darker indoors than out!) I would begin to set my ISO around 800 (ish- it all depends on your setting and how the lighting is). This information was wonderfully stumbled on by myself some time ago and really helped me understand ISO better, because lets face it some times the manuals and books that we buy to understand these things don’t talk in normal-people talk like this does and the cute drawings are a help too!
Happy shooting my photog peeps! (and don’t be afraid to use that ISO to strengthen your photo skills!!)
